1. Job description
Primate Research Institute, Kyoto University (KUPRI) is seeking to
appoint a suitable candidate to the position of Program-Specific
Assistant Professor for the on-site laboratory that will be
established in the Republic of Uganda.
The Department of Ecology and Social Behavior of KUPRI conducts
research on the evolution of ecology and social behaviors
through observations in the wild, analyses of DNA and hormones, etc.
For these purposes, we are carrying out collaborative research with
foreign researchers in many research stations in Africa and Asia. This
job vacancy seeks a person who will (1) conduct studies in the
above-mentioned fields, (2) manage the research station in the Kalinzu
Central Forest Reserve, Uganda, (3) and support PhD students studying
there. The candidate will be requested to stay primarily in Uganda.
